About Me,

As a Wisconsin licensed massage therapist I have been providing therapeutic massage in the DeForest area for over twenty years. I graduated from UW-LaCrosse in 1990 with a B.S. in Exercise Science. After a few years into a personal training career I discovered that my true passion was in helping others recover from injuries and manage pain. I then received training at A Spirit Touch Institute in Madison to become a massage therapist.
Throughout my career I have made it a priority to work closely with my clients and to collaborate with physical therapists, medical doctors and chiropractors to enhance the outcome of their treatment. I have received specialized training to address many physical conditions that often result in pain or loss of function. I effectively help clients manage neck and back pain, shoulder injuries, sciatica, prenatal discomfort, pain from cancer and edema. Click here to read more about how I may be able to help you.

My Approach

My goal is to get to know my clients and understand their individual needs. I listen to your concerns and assess your needs by evaluating posture, gait, muscle strength and balance and most of all through palpation during massage. I blend a variety of techniques to help reach your goals and feel your best.
I believe that a great massage has properties similar to being in nature. It is fluid, even, steady and paced to calm the mind and body. Feedback is encouraged during massage to ensure that pressure is adjusted to individual needs and comfort level. Your massage is focused on areas of concern, techniques are intentional and results are the goal.
Sue has a wealth of knowledge. No matter what your ailment, she can give you helpful tips for at home healing and is an amazing massage therapist practicing an array of modalities. I always leave feeling better. C.L.K.
