Rotator Cuff Release

Sprains, strains and tears of the shoulder are all too common and the causes of these may vary widely. Injuries from accidents or falls, straining with activity and repetition can all lead to shoulder pain. Massage is an effective way to reduce shoulder pain and restore function.

Rotator cuff release techniques are effective for minor injuries and pain as well as for frozen shoulder syndrome. The four rotator cuff muscles are the primary focus when addressing shoulder pain. Direct soft tissue mobilization along with traction, stretching and range of motion are all part of restoring shoulder motion and diminishing pain,

Secondarily the muscles of the shoulder girdle may be addressed with therapeutic massage techniques to relieve tension and allow clients to begin moving and strengthinning the joint back to normal function.
