Swedish Massage

     Traditional Swedish Massage is considered the foundation of massage techniques. It is a widely used therapeutic style of massage that is an effective treatment for a number of conditions. The various methods are adaptable by adjusting pressure to individual needs. 

      ~Long gliding strokes with even, steady pressure sooth the tense muscles and calm the nervous system.

     ~Kneading the tissues with deep circular motion improves circulation and promotes healing. 

     ~Compression to the muscles stimulates the para sympathetic nervous system to elicit deep relaxation. 

     ~Gentle rocking and joint range of motion help to improve mobility, lubricate the joints and encourage circulation deep in the tissues. 

     ~Rhythmic percussion motions stimulate the nervous system and awaken inhibited muscles while releasing lymphatic build up.
